Catherine of Siena, now a well-recognised saint, made a large contribution in the Catholic church and is now listed as one of the church’s most historical figure as of her work and service during the Middle Ages. St Catherine of Siena is not a nun, or even a sister. In actual fact, Catherine is part of the Third Order lay people. However, having said this, St Catherine devoted her life to the Dominicans in which she began to counsel the Papal (what we know today as to be the Pope). She gave advice and recommendations in which she was looked greatly upon and gained admiration by many at that time. St Catherine of Siena had a cheerful and courageous personality which pushed her to achieve the many things that she did in her short life.
"I have no other desire in this life save to see the honor of God, your peace, and the reformation of Holy Church, and to see the life of grace in every creature that hath reason in itself." -Letters of St. Catherine of Siena.
